Individualized virtual sessions designed to achieve reading proficiency for grades K-12.
Reading intervention, or educational therapy, helps students learn the skills they need to become proficient readers. During 1:1 lessons, a reading interventionist demonstrates and practices reading skills with the student.
Reading intervention is for any student who is struggling to read. While some struggling readers have learning disabilities, others simply do not learn effectively with the instruction methods used by their school.
Students typically have one session per week, which includes individualized, structured, and systematic sessions designed to target the individual skills the student is struggling with.
The total time commitment for educational therapy varies based on the student's needs. Some students can meet their goals after 19 weeks, but many need 35 weeks or more of weekly sessions. For students who are more than one grade level behind their peers, we may recommend two sessions a week instead of one.
